Easter Bunny arrives Friday at Indian River Mall

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Children of all ages are invited to make some special Easter memories at Indian River Mall where the Easter Bunny will arrive on Friday.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, children are invited to an Easter Bunny Meet and Greet in the food court.

Miss Julie from Kidtivities will entertain the children with an interactive Easter Show and Bugs World will provide craft and snack stations.

The event is free and available to children 12 and younger.

Tuesday workshop on music for children in Vero Beach

Childcare Resources will conduct a workshop on "The Importance of Music for Young Children" from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in its family resource center, 1801 24th St.

The speaker will be Julie dos Santos of Kiditivities. The workshop is open to the public at no charge.

Childcare Resources is a United Way partner agency that provides child care tuition assistance and other family growth opportunities for working, income-eligible families in Indian River County.

Festivities offered for 'Decade of Children'

VERO BEACH — Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition will present "A Wonderful Decade of Children" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Park to celebrate TLC Newborn's 10 years and 10,000 babies served.

Family festivities will include entertainment, food, music and children's activities. Entertainers and activities include Riverside's Star Troupe, Avenue D's Boy Choir, Steel Drum Band, children entertainers Mr. Richard and Julie dos Santos, a bounce house, kiddie rides and plenty of characters.

The event will kick off with TLC's Run for a Healthy Start, a 5K family fun run/walk at 8 a.m. at the park. Entry fees in advance are $20 for an individual, $50 for a family of three and $70 for a family of four. Children under 10 are free. Technical T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 registered (age 10 and up). Day of the race entry fees will be $25 per person.
